Job Title: Die Polisher (2nd Shift)
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Location: San Marcos, Texas We have one goal: to manufacture quality magnets! About this role The Die Polisher is responsible for polishing, finishing, and maintaining tooling and dies used in the manufacturing process to ensure optimal performance and product quality. This role supports production by improving die surface finishes, removing defects, and assisting with basic tooling maintenance. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience working with hand and power tools, and the ability to follow technical specifications and safety standards. - Removing scratches, burrs, and imperfections using appropriate tools and materials.
- Operating polishing equipment, grinders, buffers, and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Inspecting dies for wear, damage, and defects; communicating findings to Tooling or Production leadership.
- Assisting with minor die repair, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and tooling status as required.
- Following all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Supporting production and tooling teams as needed to meet operational goals.
We are Looking for Someone Who: - Has a High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Possesses prior experience polishing metal surfaces, tooling, or dies in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Has experience with hand tools, grinders, buffers, and measuring instruments.
- Can display a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Is able to read work instructions, drawings, or basic blueprints preferred.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Has good communication and time management skills.
Physical Requirements: - Able to move up to 50lbs.
- Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- Can wear PPE.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Is capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.
