Supplier & OEM Manager
Austin, TX, USA
Job Summary
FluxCo runs on its OEM relationships. Every transformer we deliver comes from a network of manufacturers we have to know cold, trust, and keep moving fast. We need someone to own those relationships end to end and run them as a system, not a stack of one-off favors and inbox threads: be the single point of contact every OEM we work with already knows by name, keep existing partners productive, and bring new ones into the fold through a repeatable, structured process. Then push past transformers. The same customers who need our transformers need switchgear, breakers, and the rest of the gear that goes around them, and we want to supply it. You'll build the OEM network, and the playbook that runs it, that lets FluxCo say yes to more of what our customers ask for.
Core Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for every transformer OEM FluxCo works with. Know their capabilities, capacity, lead times, pricing, and the people who actually get things done.
- Build the system that runs the network: a single source of truth for every OEM (contacts, capabilities, capacity, terms, performance), a regular cadence of check-ins and structured business reviews, and a documented playbook for onboarding and managing partners so nothing lives only in your head.
- Deepen existing relationships: negotiate better terms, lock in capacity, and resolve quality or delivery issues before they ever reach a customer.
- Recruit and qualify new OEMs through a consistent, repeatable vetting process to widen FluxCo's supply base and cut single-source risk.
- Lead FluxCo's expansion into adjacent equipment (switchgear, breakers, and other electrical gear) by sourcing, vetting, and onboarding the manufacturers who build it.
- Own the commercial relationship end to end: pricing, terms, minimums, lead-time commitments, and supplier scorecards you track and act on, not just collect.
- Work hand in hand with sales, applications engineering, and supply so what we promise customers is exactly what our OEMs can deliver.
- Represent FluxCo with partners on-site, at trade shows, and at industry events, including domestic and international travel.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in supplier management, sourcing, OEM or channel partnerships, or business development for transformers, switchgear, or electrical power equipment.
- Relationships: You already know players across the electrical-equipment manufacturing world, or you've got a track record of building those relationships fast.
- Systematic operator: You don't run relationships from memory and a full inbox. You build trackers, scorecards, and cadences that make the whole network legible, and you can hand someone your playbook and have it actually work.
- Commercial instinct: You negotiate hard but fair, you understand cost structures and lead times, and you can tell a partner worth keeping from one worth replacing.
- Category range: Comfortable moving beyond transformers into switchgear, breakers, and adjacent gear, and genuinely excited to build those supply lines from scratch.
- Self-starter: This is an ownership role. You'll build and run FluxCo's OEM strategy, not inherit a playbook.
- Travel: Willing to travel, domestic and international, to be in the room with the partners who matter.
