This position will be full-time located at our Addison, TX facilities with occasional travel required to other Firehawk sites (approximately 25%). Role Summary Firehawk Aerospace is seeking an Operations Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale operational initiatives across the company’s growing manufacturing footprint. This role will be central to preparing new production facilities for operational readiness, with a primary focus on Firehawk’s major programs in Oklahoma and Mississippi. The Operations Project Manager will support external project management efforts, budgeting, schedule development, and stakeholder coordination, working closely with internal teams and external partners. This is a high-impact role suited for an individual who thrives at the intersection of operational execution and cross-functional alignment. The Operations Project Manager will lead complex planning efforts from concept through execution and help establish the operational foundations required to support Firehawk’s next phase of growth. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience managing projects in defense or aerospace environments, capable of working effectively across all levels of the organization. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations. Responsibilities -Plan and oversee capital and facilities projects of varying size and complexity, from major greenfield builds to short-duration site improvements. -Build and maintain integrated plans, schedules, risk logs, and simple performance metrics that enable effective decision-making. -Develop and maintain realistic cost models and execution schedules throughout each project’s lifecycle. -Make informed project decisions by balancing technical requirements, safety considerations, cost constraints, and schedule commitments. -Own day-to-day coordination with external consultants, contractors, vendors, and permitting authorities. -Work alongside external construction and project management teams to align on scope, sequencing, and delivery priorities. -Support the installation, commissioning, and readiness of manufacturing and production equipment. -Coordinate across internal functions such as Security, IT/Network, Safety, Finance, and Marketing to ensure projects are executed holistically. -Provide clear, timely updates to leadership on progress, risks, and recommended actions. Basic Qualifications -Demonstrated experience leading complex projects through planning and execution, with a track record of delivering scope on schedule and within budget. -8+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably supporting capital projects, manufacturing facilities, or regulated environments. -Hands-on experience with early design phases, including design advisory support, pre-construction planning, and project kickoff. -Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation, reviews, and concise status updates for leadership. -Experience using project management tools to develop and maintain integrated plans, schedules, and risk registers. -Strong commitment to safety, reliability, disciplined execution, and teamwork. -U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications -Experience supporting aerospace, defense, and/or energetics facilities -Experience with US DoD contracts and programs -Experience with the DoD 4145 Contractor Safety Manual -Current PMP certification -Active or previous DoD security clearance. ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats. Security Clearance: May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship.
